VIII. Other Notes

Additional notes

The issue of this Patents was brought up to our attention in a mail thread on the IPFIX WG list, where Carter Bullard mentioned the possibility of some patents relevant to the I-D to belong to AVAYA as result of the acquisition by AVAYA of part of the business and IP portfolio of Nortel Networks - see http://www.ietf.org/mail-archive/web/ipfix/current/msg06267.html. Although the WG chair indicated that a third party disclosure may be appropriate Carter stated that he does not consider it is up to him to do it, and that he leaves to the owners to make any type of IPR disclosure statements - see http://www.ietf.org/mail-archive/web/ipfix/current/msg06302.html.
