To the extent employees of Phoenix Technologies Ltd. make a contribution which
is incorporated in an adopted IETF Standard, and/or to the extent that one or
more claims of patents, including patents related to SPEKE technology, that are
owned and controlled by Phoenix are necessary to the implementation of an IETF
Standard, Phoenix will, upon written request, offer non-exclusive licenses on
fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory terms to prospective licensees (such
terms may include a reciprocal grant back form the prospective licensees) under
such patent claims for the implementation of such IETF Standard.
SPEKE Client: Phoenix Technologies Ltd. will provide the Client side SPEKE
functionality, under out standard license terms, on a royalty free basis for
Windows and Linux personal computers. This royalty free license does not apply
to servers or any other non PC-based machine or implementation. |
