Body
Q14/15 thanks the ONF Information Modelling Project group for sharing the
in-progress information modelling work, including the model developing process,
UML modelling guidelines, open-source modelling tool Papyrus, the ONF common
information model, Core Info Model base document, Model Sketches, and the Spec
Model thoughts. We are pleased that our transport technology specific
information models ITU-T G.874.1 for OTN, ITU-T G.8052 for Carrier Ethernet and
draft ITU-T G.8152 for MPLS-TP, and also the Generic Information Model for
transport resources (ITU-T G.gim) are useful to the development of the ONF
common information model.

To continue our collaboration for an industry-wide open common information
model for transport resources, we enclose the following Q14/15 in-progress
information modelling work for your information.

− Draft New Recommendation ITU-T G.gim “Generic Protocol-Neutral
Information Model for Transport Resources” v0.04

Note that ITU-T G.gim v0.04 has taken into account the ONF modelling work just
liaised. We plan to consent ITU-T G.gim in the upcoming SG15 plenary meeting on
22 June – 3 July 2015. We will appreciate any comments you may provide.

At this interim meeting, we also started the modelling for the scheduling
function and network synchronization management. We will keep you updated with
the progress of this modelling work.
