Thank you for your liaison statement (Ref # 022.01) requesting a review by the ITU-T of the MPLS-TP identifiers draft. The experts of Q.12/15 have reviewed draft-ietf-mpls-tp-identifiers-01 by correspondence. We were surprised to find that a draft in Working Group last call included section 8 Open Issues. The issues identified in this section must be resolved before approval. The comments and proposed changes shown in the attached marked up draft were provided by a number of experts and do not necessarily represent a consensus view of all of the experts of Q.12. Considering the magnitude of these changes we request that we have another opportunity to review the resolution of these and any other comments, before this draft is forwarded for approval.
