Subject: Results of IETF-conflict review for draft-yokota-mext-ha-init-flow-binding-06

The IESG has completed a review of
draft-yokota-mext-ha-init-flow-binding-06 consistent with RFC5742.

The IESG has no problem with the publication of 'Home Agent Initiated
Flow Binding for Mobile IPv6'
as an Experimental RFC.

The IESG has concluded that this work is related to IETF work done in the
NETEXT and DMM WGs, but this relationship does not prevent publishing.

The IESG would also like the RFC-Editor to review the comments in the
datatracker related to this document and determine whether or not they
merit incorporation into the document. Comments may exist in both the
ballot and the history log.

The IESG review is documented at:
http://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/conflict-review-yokota-mext-ha-init-flow-binding/

A URL of the reviewed Internet Draft is:

The process for such documents is described at

Thank you,

The IESG Secretary

[Ballot comment]
I am presuming that the IANA allocations (all of which are under "Standards Action or IESG Approval") are OK. There's no guidance in 6275 as to when these things ought to be approved, and I assume we're going to see a Management Item at some point to approve these allocations, but I trust that the INT ADs will let the rest of us know that these allocations are fine.

Hi IESG Secretary:

The draft draft-yokota-mext-ha-init-flow-binding-06
is ready for publication from the Independent Stream.
Please ask IESG to review it, as set out in RFC 5742.

The following is some background for this draft, please forward it
to IESG along with this request ...

Its title is:
Home Agent Initiated Flow Binding for Mobile IPv6

Its abstract says:
"There are scenarios in which the home agent needs to trigger flow
binding operations towards the mobile node such as moving a flow from
one access network to another based on the network resource
availability. In order for the home agent to be able to initiate
interactions for flow bindings with the mobile node, this document
defines new signaling messages and sub-options for Mobile IPv6. Home
agent initiated flow bindings are supported for both IPv4 and IPv6
enabled mobile nodes."

It was reviewed for me by Dapeng Liu,
the authors worked with him to address the issues he raised.

Thanks, Nevil (ISE)
