Abstract

   This document describes a set of scenarios in which complications to
   identify which policy to apply for a host are encountered.  This
   problem is abstracted as "host identification".  The document does
   not include any solution-specific discussion.

1.  Introduction

   The goal of this document is to enumerate scenarios which encounter
   the issue of uniquely identifying a host among those sharing the same
   IP address.  An exhaustive list of encountered issues for the Carrier
   Grade NAT, A+P, and Application Proxies scenarios are documented in
   [RFC6269].  In addition to those issues, some of the scenarios
