Configuring UDP Sockets for ECN for Common Platforms

This document has completed an on-list call for adoption by TSVWG, ending on 29th November 2024. Many people said they supported this work on-list and offered further comments (and terminology suggestions) to be considered in furture revisions (at least 7). The chairs heard no  concerns to making this a work item.

The document was previously presented at IETF-121 (Dublin) were adoption was discussed. For the records, the meeting discussion noted thar 38 participants thought this was a useful topic for the working group work to work upon (and no people noted concerns), and following that, 27 participants said the WG could the WG adopt this document as a basis for this work (again, no concerns were noted).

This document is duly adopted as a TSVWG work item, and an appropropriate milestone will be created. Martin, as editor, could you please make a revision as a tsvwg I-D?

This is a formal adoption call that will run 2 weeks, ending on 29th
November 2024. Please respond to this email thread with any comments
indicating support or objection to adopting this draft as a basis for
work on ECN support for UDP.

During IETF-121, the WG discussed "Configuring UDP Sockets for ECN for
Common Platforms" (draft-duke-tsvwg-udp-ecn)  and the sense in the room
indicated some support for adoption, this email provides an opportunity
to contribute comments on this planned work.
