Abstract
The document [1] describes an architectural framework for protocol standardization for telephony interworking with the internet. Interworking deals with both signalling and bearer connections (i.e., media stream), which can either be carried together (e.g., in-band, BRI, PRI) or separately (e.g., SS7).
