Please ask IESG to review it, as set out in RFC 5742. The following is some background for this draft, please forward it to IESG along with this request ... This draft is essentially a background review of the flow label, its history, and various proposals for using it that have shown up problems with its definition. It's purely informational and does not attempt to do anything other than report and comment. It's orthogonal to the three drafts currently active in 6man, which are aimed at updating the standards-track definition and making the flow label useful. It was handled (and reviewed) by Bob Braden since I co-supervised the student project that gave rise to it. Bob said "it's ready to publish" on 27 Feb. Thanks, Nevil (ISE) |
