Ballot Text

Technical Summary

This document creates a new IANA registry for tracking cost modes
supported by the Application-Layer Traffic Optimization (ALTO)
protocol. Also, this document relaxes a constraint that was imposed
by the ALTO specification on allowed cost mode values.

   This document updates RFC 7285.

Working Group Summary

This document is intended to fix a discrepancy with recent
extensions that create new values for a field that did not
have an IANA registry. This discrepancy was discovered
during IESG review of that extension, and progressed rapidly
   and uncontroversially through the WG.

Document Quality

This is an IANA action, so implementation status is not
   applicable.

Personnel

The shepherd is Kai Gao. The AD is Martin Duke. The registry
policy is IETF Review, so no Designated Expert is needed.
