Technical Summary

This document defines a collection of common data types, identities,
and groupings in the YANG data modeling language. These common types
and groupings, derived from the built-in YANG data types, identities,
and groupings are intended to be imported by modules that model
Optical Layer 0 configuration and state capabilities, such as
Wavelength Switched Optical Networks (WSONs) and flexi-grid Dense
   Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) networks.

This document obsoletes RFC 9093 by replacing the YANG module it
contained with a new revision that includes additional YANG data
   types, identities and groupings.

Working Group Summary

No controversy. The chairs and the working group agreed on the
   need for this bis.
The document has very wide support in the working group. The
working group last call of a document depending on this one has
raised the need to update this document as well. The document has
been sent back to the WG, modifications been done and a second WG
   last call performed.

Document Quality

The WG chairs have not polled specifically for
implementations but all the major vendors in the area were
   involved in this work.
The YANG modules have gone through YANG Doctors review.

Personnel

The Document Shepherd for this document is Daniele Ceccarelli. The
Responsible Area Director is Ketan Talaulikar.
