Technical Summary

This document defines the Matroska audiovisual data container structure, including definitions of its structural elements, as well as its terminology, vocabulary, and application.

Working Group Summary

Pretty much all the relevant people are at the IETF WG.  There was nothing controversial in its handling.

Document Quality

The document represents codification of 20 years of implementation
experience.  Notable implementations include vlc, ffmpeg.

A review of the media type registration was done.

Michael Richardson is the document shepherd.
