Technical Summary
   This document defines a means for a Label-Switching Router to
   verify that its data plane is functioning for certain key Multi-
   Protocol Label Switching applications, including unicast
   forwarding and traffic engineering tunnels.  A new Loopback FEC
   type is defined to allow an upstream neighbor to assist in the
   testing at very low cost.  MPLS Verification Request and MPLS
   Verification Reply messages are defined to do the actual probing.
Working Group Summary
   No dissent. 
Protocol Quality
   Ross Callon has reviewed this for the IESG. It has not been 
   implemented yet as far as I know. 

Note to RFC Editor
   Currently the acronym FEC (forwarding equivalence class) is defined   
   the third time it is used, in the third paragraph of section 1. This 
   spelling out of the acronym should probably be moved to the first 
   time that FEC is used (other than the abstract), in the second
   paragraph of section 1.
