I don't believe this document is conflicting with ongoing IETF work, so I have no objections to its publication.

However I have a small set of mostly editorial nits I would like the document editor to consider:

Was the URI registration checked by Graham Klyne (the Designated URI Expert Reviewer)? I doubt he will have any issues with this, but it would be better to check this earlier.

4.  IANA Considerations

  URI scheme syntax:

  This specification uses the Augmented Backus-Naur Form (ABNF)
  notation of [RFC2234], including the core ABNF syntax rule for DIGIT

This should be RFC 5234, but I think RFC Editor will fix that.

The following field is missing from the IANA registration template:

  References.
      Include full citations for all referenced documents.  Registration
      templates for provisional registration may be included in an
      Internet Draft; when the documents expire or are approved for
      publication as an RFC, the registration will be updated.

This field should just point to the draft itself.
