A couple of minor edits are pending in response to Dan's Gen-ART review, to better identify NATO and to note the registration of the namespace in the abstract and intro.

= Section 1 = "Almost 400 NATO-defined messages that conform to ADatP-3 are contained in the Allied Procedural Publication Number 11 (APP-11) message catalogue." A citation here would be good.

6. IANA Considerations This document defines a URN NID registration of "nato", which is requested to be entered into the IANA registry "Uniform Resource Names (URN) Namespaces". The registration template is given in section 2. While it's not really a complex task, I have to search IANA for "Uniform Resource Names (URN) Namespaces" in order to find the [RFC2141][RFC3406] references and find that "IETF consensus. But why not add it directly in the IANA considerations section, to ease the reviewer lives? Btw, I reviewed this document in light of http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-leiba-cotton-iana-5226bis-11 (on the same IESG telechat), and it shows an example on page 8, with the IANA-related RFCs for that registry. Maybe this comment would be more appropriate for http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-leiba-cotton-iana-5226bis-11... Editorial: - You might want to add somewhere in the introduction that NATO = North Atlantic Treaty Organization and not the National Association of Tobacco Outlets (http://www.acronymfinder.com/NATO.html) :-) - "with national entities, commercial partners and NGOs." NGO?
