This document describes a Media Resource Control Protocol (MRCP) that was 
developed jointly by Cisco Systems, Inc., Nuance Communications, and Speechworks
Inc.  It is published as an RFC as input for further IETF development in this 
area.
 
Working Group Summary
 
Although this is an individual submission from the RFC-Editor, the SPEECHSC 
working group welcomes the publication of this document for historical purposes,
as they are working on a successor protocol.
 
Protocol Quality
 
This document was reviewed for conflicts with existing IETF work by Jon 
Peterson, in consultation with the SPEECHSC WG chairs.
