I have no grounds to delay this, but I have two questions

1. Is it really Informational (describing existing practice), or
should it be Experimental (as in the preamble to the draft) since it appears
to describe proposed practice?

2. Does this extension *guarantee* atomicity, or simply improve the chances
of atomicity compared to a read/increment/write sequence? It might be nice
