The Domain Name System (DNS) is primarily used to translate domain
names into IPv4 addresses using A RRs (Resource Records). Several
approaches exist to describe networks or address ranges.
This document specifies a new DNS RR type "APL" for address prefix
lists.

This document is a product of the DNS Extensions Working Group of the
IETF.

This memo defines an Experimental Protocol for the Internet community.
It does not specify an Internet standard of any kind. Discussion and
suggestions for improvement are requested. Distribution of this memo
is unlimited.

This announcement is sent to the IETF list and the RFC-DIST list.
