  • Chair presented IESG review comments/status

    • Mobility-awareness & key technical contributions
  • Draft: UDP Tunnel extension YANG

    • not much update
    • presenter shows a YANG module (ietf-ac-udpt), saying no change
    • The only changes are in IANA section
  • Draft: MUP architecture

    • author went thru updates (ST2 route, MUP extended community:
Interwor segment type, security consideration, etc.)
    • Authors asked WG to review the draft and provide feedback.
    • Tom Hill: comment on securty, need to reference RFC 8754, 8986
for more details on SRv6 secuirty; should not define what
inter-domain SRv6 security is in this draft
  • Draft: Mobile traffic steering

    • Author went thru changes since WG adoption in dec. 2024
    • Authors listed a few items requesting comments from the WG
      (items shown in slide deck)
    • Chair putting out a poll on how many have read the draft.
accorindg to the poll result, the chair suggested more to read
the draft and then provide feedback.
  • Draft: Architecture Discussion on SRv6 MUP

    • Author went thru changes (shown in slide deck), e.g., document
      positioning, uSID, etc.)
    • John Kaippallimalil: Comments on session-based paradigm: both
3GPP and here have session controllers, how to handle O(n^2)
      case.
    • Tianji Jiang: comments on any-to-any communication: author
clarified the draft targets at lowering down from O(N^2) to O(N)
  • Draft: Mobile User Plane Evolution: 5G & 6G

    • Author presented ongoing discussion captured from the User Plane
architecture in 6G Architecture study (TR 23.801)
    • Jeffley Zhang: questioned the contradiction between 3GPP's
transport-agnostic requirements and proposals to natively
replace GTP-U with SRv6. Tingji noted that native SRv6
replacement remains an active proposal under discussion.
    • Weiqiang Cheng: Comments on the possibility of a partial GTP-U
replacement to integrate edge computing, suggesting that IETF
network experts should provide architectural proposals to 3GPP.
  • Draft: Requirements of SRv6 for the 6G User Plane

    • authors present the neceessity to apply SRv6 to 6G UP
    • John Kaippallimalil: Comments: consider the use case: roaming
      across multi-domain
    • Chairs: collaborate with 6G-MUP-evolution draft
    • Weiqiang Cheng: Comments: since we have discussed lots on how
SRv6 might benefit 3GPP; So, should we start considering some
sort of liaison to 3GPP regarding SRv6 applicablity? need more
      discussions.
