    • Time Variant Routing (TVR)
      External Review (Initial Chartering)
      IESG Telechat: 2023-02-16
      IAB Reviewer: Russ White

Russ White asked the IAB if there were any concerns with him
providing the IAB review of the TVR charter, considering he was
one of the co-chairs of the TVR BOF at IETF 115. The IAB had no
concerns, noting that Deborah Brungard had already provided
  additional comments.

2. draft-arkko-iab-data-minimization-principle-03

The IAB had a short discussion about the scope of this draft and
the IAB's role in privacy-related work in general. Jari Arkko is
revising the draft based on feedback received.

3. Liaison Statements to ITU-T SG13 on Update on Quantum

Networking and the new work item Y.SAN "Requirements and
  architecture of service aware network"

The IAB has reviewed draft text for two liaison statements and
there were no objections to either. Mirja Kühlewind will follow
  up with both statements.

4. A Vision Statement for the Internet

The IAB discussed the draft text for a document on "A Vision
Statement for the Internet," and what the appropriate scope
would be. Mirja Kühlewind noted that the intended audience is
non-technical; the goal is to show how the different pieces of
the Internet governance ecosystem work together. Mallory Knodel
is continuing to revise this text based on feedback received
  from the IAB.

5. Research and Analysis of Standard-Setting Processes (RASPRG) PRG

  Draft charter: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/charter-irtf-rasprg/

Colin Perkins introduced the RASPRG proposed charter text.
Several IAB members noted that they are fine with the PRG in
principle but suggested some small changes to make sure the
scope is correctly identified. Colin Perkins will proceed with
the chartering process with a goal to hold a session at IETF
  116.

6. Call for input from the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights

Mallory Knodel said that the UN Office of the High Commissioner
for Human Rights is doing a consultation on “The relationship
between human rights and technical standard-setting processes
for new and emerging digital technologies (2023)” and suggested
that the IAB write a response. The deadline is soon, on 3 March
2023; Mallory Knodel will begin a document to begin answering
questions and send a weekly update to the IAB list with
  progress.
