2. Confidential Computing Consortium response to Statement on the Risks
   of Attestation

Mirja Kühlewind asked whether the email from the Confidential
Computing Consortium (CCC) in response to the IAB Statement on the
risks of attestation should be posted as a liaison statement. The IAB
agreed that it should, as long as the confirms that it was not meant
to be a private email. Mirja will follow up with Dan Middleton and
ask whether this can be posted as a liaison statement.

3. Adopting draft-edm-protocol-greasing

Tommy Pauly said that the EDM Program meeting on 2023-11-06 will
discuss draft-edm-protocol-greasing, and noted that a request to
adopt this document on the IAB Stream will be coming soon.

Lars Eggert said that this document might be better as a BCP on the
  IETF Stream.

Tommy Pauly will bring this document back to an IAB meeting for
further discussion after the EDM Program meeting at IETF 118.

4. NIST RFI response

Suresh Krishnan reported that the deadline to respond to the NIST
request for comments on U.S. National Standards Strategy for Critical
and Emerging Technologies has been extended to 2023-12-22.

The IAB discussed their response to the request for comments. Suresh
Krishnan will update the draft text and bring it back to the IAB for
  further review.

5. IAB Statement on Encryption and Client-side Scanning of Content

The IAB discussed the draft text for the proposed IAB Statement on
Encryption and Client-side Scanning of Content.

6. Human Rights Protocol Considerations (HRPC) Rechartering

The IAB discussed the proposed updates to the Human Rights Protocol
Considerations (HRPC) Research Group charter. As part of the
rechartering effort, the RG would be renamed to Human Rights and
  Policy Considerations.

Tommy Pauly suggested that the text clarify that "policy" refers to
policy for technical protocols, and not policies about human rights
  as a whole.

Mirja Kühlewind expressed concerns about having a Research Group
whose goal is to inform policy makers about the IETF.

Mallory Knodel said that this is about the technical constraints that
  might inform policy choices.

Colin Perkins noted that the HRPC has been talking about policy since
its inception, and this update is to reflect that in the charter.

Several IAB members still have concerns with the proposed charter
text. Mallory Knodel asked the IAB to think about ways to move this
  forward.
