ongoing effort to review all IETF documents being processed by the
IESG. These comments were written primarily for the benefit of the
security area directors. Document editors and WG chairs should treat

As the VRRP protocol is used without authentication, there are risks
to falsified data being sent, but those risks are already there in
the core protocol and mentioned in the Security Considerations of
RFC9568, and this document does not add anything that cannot already
be broken by falsified messages of the core RFC9568 protocol.
