Hi,

I have been selected as the Operational Directorate (opsdir) reviewer for this
Internet-Draft.

The Operational Directorate reviews all operational and management-related
Internet-Drafts to ensure alignment with operational best practices and that
adequate operational considerations are covered.

A complete set of _"Guidelines for Considering Operations and Management in
IETF Specifications"_ can be found at
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-opsawg-rfc5706bis/.

While these comments are primarily for the Operations and Management Area
Directors (Ops ADs), the authors should consider them alongside other feedback
received.

- Document: draft-ietf-rtgwg-vrrp-rfc8347bis-18

- Reviewer: Linda Dunbar

- Review Date: June 12, 2026

- Intended Status: Standards Track

## Summary
- The document defines an updated ietf-vrrp YANG module for managing VRRPv2 and
VRRPv3.

## Major Issues: None

## Minor Issues
The YANG module defines skew-time with units of microseconds, and explicitly
says the units are microseconds rather than centiseconds. RFC 9568 Section 6.1
says “Skew_Time Time to skew Active_Down_Interval in centiseconds.”

## NITS:
- Section 1.1: “descriptive text for identify vrrp-event-owner-preempt”
do you mean "for identity vrrp-event-owner-preempt"?

- Page 31: effective-priority description: “The priority 255 is reserved the
virtual router owning the address.” Do you mean "“The priority 255 is reserved
for the virtual router owning the address.”

Best regards, Linda
