The Application Exchange (APEX) service is defined in four RFCs: 3340,
3341, 3342, and 3343. To the best of the IETF's knowledge, no
implementations of these RFCs have been deployed, and APEX's
functionality is currently provided by XMPP (RFCs 6120 and 6121),
which has been widely deployed. Accordingly, the APEX RFCs are
reclassified as Historic.
