There's a broken reference in the abstract, "per [[[RFC XXXX (xref target="msghdr-registry" /)]]]".  An RFC Editor note should be added to note that this is a reference to the RFC that draft-klyne-msghdr-registry will become.  Reference [1] should thus be updated when it pops out of the RFC Editor's queue.

The "Discussion of this document" section should be removed.

Section 1.2: the second paragraph should be removed.

There is some risk in the stability of reference [29].
