Although the GSS API document is included in the references section, it actually doesn't seem to be referenced form the text anywhere.

It also might be helpful to add a brief intro to section 2 that explains that the datatypes in use are described in the GSS API document, or something like that.

First, thanks to Sam for the working group write-up, which had useful detail.

Not blocking, but both documents contain statements of the form:

 This document has no IANA considerations currently.  If and when a
   relevant IANA registry of GSS-API symbols is created...

Is there a need for such a registry?
