-------------------
1. Roll Call, Agenda Bashing, Minutes Approval
No new items were added to the agenda.
The minutes from the 31 March 2017 meeting were approved on the
mailing list.
2. Review of Other Action Items from Previous Meetings
DONE:
- Russ Housley to follow up on the mailing list about a face-to-face
coordination meeting on 15 July 2017 in Prague. A decision on
whether or not to meet in Prague should be made by the end of
February; if the group decides against meeting in Prague, a
teleconference should be scheduled for sometime in June 2017.
UPDATED:
- Dorothy Stanley to forward materials from the July tutorials on new
work in 802.11 to the coordination list.
IN PROGRESS:
- Suresh Krishnan, Russ Housley, Ralph Droms, and Pat Thaler to
discuss work on DHCP for MAC addresses (re item 5 on the shared
list).
3. 2017 Face to Face meeting - review and tweak agenda
The group reviewed and updated the draft agenda for the July face to
face meeting.
Dorothy Stanley noted that there had been a lunchtime session on 5G at
the Chicago IETF meeting and asked if there was a recording of that
anywhere. The recording is available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=SMh_vggVgrg&index=43&list=PLC86T-6ZTP5jo6kIuqdyeYYhsKv9sUwG1.
A wiki page for the meeting will be set up once the agenda is
finalized. At the end of the discussion, the agenda included:
- YANG models
- Low Latency
- Time-sensitive Networking/DETNET
- FlexE
- Network slicing
- 48-bit and 64-bit MAC addresses interworking
- 5G
- Any other business
4. July 2017 meetings (IETF BOFs and IEEE 802 PARs)

Benoit Claise asked if Marc Holness will be the contact for all of the
YANG-related PARs. Glenn Parsons replied that he will not, but all of
the contacts have not been identified yet.
Pat Thaler asked Benoit Claise if he could put together 1-2 slides
about the work done on YANG at IETF Hackathons for the 802 meeting in
July. Benoit replied that he would.

- IDentity Enabled Networks (ideas)
- IASA 2.0 (iasa20)
- Network Slicing (netslicing)
Russ Housley noted that a BOF request on 5G IP Access and Session
Management Protocols (5GIP) was not approved for IETF 99, but there
will be a lunchtime session on 5G.
5. Areas of shared interest between the IETF and IEEE 802
After a brief discussion, the group agreed to move the closed items on
the shared work items list to the end of the document.
Item 3. IETF NVO3 and IEEE 802.1 DCB
Pat Thaler reported that they found reviewers for IEEE 802.1Qcn D0.4,
and will send the WG ballot draft out for review once it becomes
available.
Item 5. Enabling use of Local Addresses for virtualization and IoT
This work is still in progress.
Item 11. IETF and IEEE 802.1 OmniRAN TG
Glenn Parsons will check with Max Riegel in Berlin on whether it would
be helpful to share an early draft of P802.1CF-D0 with the IETF, or
whether that will have to wait for the document to progress more.
Item 19. Common OAM proposal / Layer Independent OAM
This work has progressed, and the item on the shared list can be
closed.
Item 21. 6tisch
Pascal Thubert reported that a plugfest on 6tisch is being planned.
The 6tisch working group has published RFC 8180, "Minimal IPv6 over
the TSCH Mode of IEEE 802.15.4e (6TiSCH) Configuration."
6tisch and 802.15 will continue to share information informally until
points of coordination are identified.
Item 22. CAPWAP extensions in OPSAWG
Benoit Claise reported that there were some security concerns with
draft-ietf-opsawg-capwap-alt-tunnel and the draft was sent back to the
WG. A new version was produced, and a review from the Security
Directorate is due by the end of the month to see if that addresses
the concerns.
Item 24. Coordination between the IETF and IEEE 802 on Pervasive
Monitoring
Pat Thaler reported that they will discuss when the best time to share
the 802E draft is in Berlin.
Item 25. Layer2/Layer 3 Interaction for Time-Sensitive Traffic
No update was provided.
Item 27. Development of YANG models in the IEEE 802
Benoit Claise will coordinate with Marc Holness on whether VLAN YANG
models will be added to the YANG catalog.
Item 30. Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
Russ Housley reported that draft-ietf-ipwave-ipv6-over-80211ocb should
go into WG Last Call soon; he will let Dorothy Stanley know when that
happens.
6. Review of Action Items
NEW:
- Dorothy Stanley to forward materials from the July tutorials on new
work in 802.11 to the coordination list.
- Benoit Claise to put together a couple of slides on YANG in IETF
Hackathons for the 802 meeting.
