Minutes discussion / approval The minutes of the 17 April 2013 RSOC meeting were approved. The minutes will be posted on the IAB website. 2. RFC Format a. responses to date Heather Flanagan reported that the RFC Format FAQ has been sent to the community, and that three responses have been received to date. b. I-D and Format Heather Flanagan reported that she discussed changes to the RFC Format with respect to how those changes will affect internet-drafts with the IESG. The IESG is considering putting together a design team on internet-draft format and any changes needed to the community tools to accommodate such changes. c. SoW The committee agreed that the RFC Series Editor should continue with the Statement of Work for tools changes to accommodate changes to the RFC format, independent of what the IESG does regarding internet-draft format. 3. Style Guide a. revised I-D expected end of June Heather Flanagan reported that she has been working with Sandy Ginoza and Alice Russo from the RFC Production Center on the update to the Style Guide, and that an updated version will be published as an internet-draft by the end of June. 4. RPC and Publisher contract The current contract for the RPC and Publisher functions ends in 2014. The committee agreed to begin the vendor selection process for the next cycle as outlined in RFC 6635. Heather Flanagan, as RSE, will chair the selection committee. Heather will send email to the RSOC and the IAOC asking for volunteers to participate in the selection committee. 5. RSOC Joel Halpern reported that the IAB discussed the IAB's role in the RSOC decision making process at the IAB retreat. The IAB agreed that general oversight of the RFC Series has been delegated to the RSOC, with the RSOC providing regular reports to the IAB, and that any decisions that will change the RFC Series must be approved by the IAB. 6. Upcoming meetings Heather Flanagan announced that she plans to attend the following upcoming meetings: a. RFCEDs meeting (June 2013) b. IETF 87 (July 2013) 7. AOB Ray Pelletier reported that the Tools Team has been asked for input on the following: - XML2RFC front end (for community users) - XML2RFC back end (for the RFC Production center) - A diff tool to work with XML2RFC - Upgrades to the RFC Editor website - A statistics and graphs tool to provide output on the website to the stream managers.
