MINUTES
---------------------------------

0. Agenda Bash

Since a number of RSOC members were unable to attend this meeting, the
bulk of the agenda items were deferred to email.

1. Minutes discussion / approval

Discussion of the 7 November 2013 meeting minutes was deferred to the
next RSOC meeting, scheduled for 8 January 2014.

2. Updates

2.1. RFC Format Design Team

This agenda item was not discussed. Heather Flanagan will send an
update to the RSOC via email.

2.2. STM Seminar report

Heather Flanagan noted that many of the people she met at the STM
Seminar had not heard of the IETF or the RFC Series, although they were
familiar with the standards that the IETF produces. Heather will send
her full trip report to the RSOC, including thoughts on how to address
that issue, via email.

2.3. RFC Editor meeting 14-16 January 2014

Heather Flanagan reported that she will be meeting with the RFC Production
Center 14-16 January 2014.

Heather Flanagan reported that the RPC annual review is in process, and
that she is currently collecting feedback from the stream managers,
authors, and IANA. Once she receives that feedback, she will
incorporate it into a formal document and send that on to the RSOC for
input. Once RSOC's input has been included, she will send the draft to
the RPC for their comments. The final draft, including the RPC
comments, will then be sent to the RSOC for final approval. Heather's
current plan is to have the initial draft to the RSOC by the end of
December 2013 so that she can do the RPC evaluation and get their
comments during the RFC Editor meeting 14-16 January 2014.

3. Operational sanity check

This agenda item was not discussed. Heather Flanagan will send an
update to the RSOC via email.
