Title:	Liaison Statement to IETF on status of ECTP project.

	At its joint meetings in Geneva and Montreux, March 2002, 
ISO/IEC/JTC1/SC6  and ITU-T/SG17 agreed to progress 
14476-2 (ECTP part 2 QoS for Simplex Multicast) to the next 
stage of development. The document will be issued for FCD 
(Final Committee Draft) in July 2002, following an e-mail 
editing period, and we request the opportunity to present the 
results at the RMT working group meeting in Yokohama. We 
will supply a copy of the FCD for information prior to the 
Yokohama meeting so that members of the WG have the 
opportunity to study it.

	14476-1 (ECTP part 1 Simplex Multicast) successfully 
completed its final ballot stage in January 2002, and is now 
being prepared for publication.
