Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der angewandten Forschung e.V. is
the owner of the PCT Patent Application Serial No. EP2008/010258
relating to the subject matter of the document "RTP NTP header extension
for decoding order recovery in layered codecs"
.


If the technology in this document is included in a standard adopted by
IETF and any claims of the PCT Patent Application Serial No.
EP2008/010258 owned by Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der
angewandten Forschung e.V. are necessary for practicing the standard,
any party will have the right to use any such patent claims, as far as
they are necessary for compliance with the adopted IETF standard, under
reasonable, non-discriminatory terms, with reciprocity, to implement and
fully comply with the IETF standard.

The reasonable non-discriminatory terms are:


If this standard is adopted by IETF, Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur
Förderung der angewandten Forschung e.V. will not assert any patents of
PCT Patent Application Serial No. EP2008/010258 owned or controlled by
Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der angewandten Forschung e.V.
against any party for making, using, selling, importing or offering for
sale a product that implements the standard, provided, however that
Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der angewandten Forschung e.V.
retains the right to assert its patents (including the right to claim
past royalties) against any party that asserts a patent it owns or
controls (either directly or indirectly) against Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft
zur Förderung der angewandten Forschung e.V. or any of
Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der angewandten Forschung e.V.'s
affiliates or successors in title or against any products of
Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der angewandten Forschung e.V. or
any products of any of Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der
angewandten Forschung e.V.'s affiliates either alone or in combination
with other products; and Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der
angewandten Forschung e.V. retains the right to assert its patents
against any product or portion thereof that is not necessary for
compliance with the IETF standard.

Royalty-bearing licenses will be available to anyone who prefers that
option.
