This is to advise the IETF that Certicom believes it has rights under patents
and/or pending applications that relate to the internet draft
"draft-ietf-ipsec-ike-ecc-groups-01.txt". These include, but are not limited to,
patents and/or pending applications for techniques for performing elliptic curve
point compression, performing public key validation (including domain parameter
validation), thwarting small subgroup attacks, and various computational
techniques. If part of the draft submitted by Certicom is included in a standard and
Certicom has patents and/or pending application(s) that are essential to
implementation of such included part in said standard, Certicom is prepared to
grant a license on such included part on reasonable, non-discriminatory terms and
conditions, provided that the licensee provides a similar grant for any relevant
patents under their control to Certicom.
