FX Patent Statement pertaining to TIFF-FX
September 26, 2002

Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. has agreed to state the following with regard to
its rights under Fuji Xerox intellectual property:

Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd., with its principal place of business at 2-17-22
Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo, 107-0052 Japan, is licensed under the
necessary JBIG patents to make, use, offer for sale, lease, or
otherwise dispose of its products having JBIG-related capabilities.

Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. has participated in the TIFF-FX interoperability
test process as an independent developer of TIFF-FX, including JBIG
(ITU-T Recommendation T.82) in a manner that is consistent with the
JBIG profile of TIFF-FX (ie. Profile J and Profile L).
