Re: Possible patents pending Claim on ECDSA

This is to advise the IETF that Certicom believes it has patents pending that
relate to ECDSA, namely point compression, public key validation (including
domain parameter validation), and computational techniques. In accordance with
the intellectual property rights procedures of the IETF standards process,
assuming the relevant patents are granted, Certicom is willing to offer, upon
written requests from the implementers of the ECDSA, a non-exclusive license
under reasonable and non-discriminatory terms and conditions, providing the
applicant provides a similar grant for the applicant's relevant patents (if
any) and respects Certicom's other intellectual property.
