NTRU: IP Statement for IETF

NTRU Cryptosystems, Inc. has been granted U.S. Patent No. 6,081,597,
which covers various aspects of the NTRU public key encryption scheme, and
has submitted numerous U.S. and foreign patent applications that cover
aspects of NTRU Cryptosystems encryption and authentication technology.
These U.S. and foreign patent applications are pending.

In the event that the submissions by authorized NTRU Cryptosystems
employees are included in an IETF standard, and the standard cannot be
practiced without infringing one or more issued patents or pending patent
applications of NTRU Cryptosystems, NTRU Cryptosystems agrees upon request
to grant a non-exclusive license under such patent or patents or
applications on a non-discriminatory basis and on reasonable terms and
conditions (including its then current royalty rates), provided a similar
grant under the licensee's patents under the scope of the license granted
to licensee is made available upon request to NTRU Cryptosystems.

Details of NTRU's standard non-discriminatory license terms are available
