The Patent Holder states that its position with respect to licensing any patent claims contained in the patent(s) or patent application(s) disclosed above that would necessarily be infringed by implementation of the technology required by the relevant IETF specification ("Necessary Patent Claims"), for the purpose of implementing such specification, is as follows(select one licensing declaration option only):

This is to advise the IETF, in accordance with the IETF RFCs 3979 and 4879 that Nokia Solutions and Networks Oy believes that patent application (us15/927781), and its associated patent family members, (together “the Disclosed Patents”) may be required to implement the following IETF contribution “draft-geng-bier-ipv6-inter-domain-00”, “Inter-Domain Multicast Deployment using BIERv6” (the “Contribution”). To the extent that the Contribution is incorporated in an IETF RFC, Nokia Solutions and Networks Oy informs IETF that Nokia Solutions and Networks Oy and its Affiliates are prepared to grant a license on fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory (“FRAND”) terms and conditions, subject to reciprocity from those seeking a licence, to implement such IETF RFC for those claims of the Disclosed Patent(s) only that would, in the absence of a license, be necessarily infringed by the making (or having made), using, selling, importing, or otherwise disposing of a technology fully implementing such IETF RFC. In this context, “necessarily infringed” means that infringement of such claims is technically necessary to implement such IETF RFC. “Affiliate” of Nokia Solutions and Networks Oy means any legal entity that directly or indirectly controls, is controlled by or is under common control with Nokia Solutions and Networks Oy. Control in this context, exists where one entity owns more than fifty percent (50%) of the voting stock or equity in another entity, or regardless of stock or equity ownership, is otherwise able to direct its affairs or to appoint a majority of the members of the board of directors or an equivalent body to determine the course of action of the entity by virtue of its voting or other rights. Such entities shall only be deemed to be Affiliates, hereunder for as long as such control exists. |
