Title: Broadcom's Statement about IPR claimed in draft-ko-iwarp-iser-02
Received: 2 September 2004
From: Shannon Tyson

This declaration is being made pursuant to the provisions of IETF IPR
Policy, RFC 3668, Section 6.

This is to advise the IETF that Broadcom believes it has published
pending patent applications that may relate to the following Internet
Draft document:

draft-ko-iwarp-iser-02.txt

To the extent that the technology discussed in this Internet Draft
becomes an IETF Standard, Broadcom shall, upon written request, offer a
non-exclusive license on reasonable and non-discriminatory terms (which
may include defensive suspension rights) for only such portion of any
product which is fully compliant with said IETF Standard, under any
issued patent claims owned by Broadcom which would necessarily be
infringed by a product solely because it is fully compliant with the
IETF standard. Broadcom's willingness to grant such licenses is
conditioned upon the prospective licensee granting a reciprocal license
to Broadcom.

Potentially relevant published patent applications include the
following:

U.S. Patent Application Serial No. 10/642,023, entitled "One Shot RDMA
Having a 2-Bit State"

U.S. Patent Application Serial No. 10/643,331, entitled "One-Shot RDMA"

U.S. Patent Application Serial No. 10/688,392, entitled "System and
Method For Receive Queue Provisioning"

U.S. Patent Application Serial No. 10/688,373, entitled "System and
Method For Receive Queue Provisioning"

Written requests for licenses may be sent to:
