Dear Sir,

In accordance with RFC 3668, Nortel Networks Limited has an unpublished
patent application that generally relates to at least a portion of the
subject matter of this Internet Draft:

Title: "Partial Publication of Presence Information"
Tag: www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-lonnfors-simple-partial-publish-01


In the event that this patent application of Nortel Networks issues, and the
issued patent contains claims that are necessary for practicing a resulting
IETF Standard based on this Internet Draft, Nortel Networks will make
available licenses, under a reasonable royalty or other fee, on fair,
reasonable, reciprocal, and nondiscriminatory terms with Possible
Royalty/Fee to claims it owns for the purpose of complying with such IETF
Standard.
