Dear Sir,

Nortel Networks Limited has an issued patent that is believed may pertain to
at least a portion of RFC 3303:

Nortel Networks U.S. Patent No. 6,772,210, entitled "Method and apparatus
for exchanging communications between telephone number based devices in an
internet protocol environment", may contain claims that are believed may be
necessary for practicing the resulting IETF Standard. In this regard, Nortel
Networks will make available licenses on fair, reasonable, reciprocal, and
non-discriminatory terms, including royalties and/or other payments, to such
necessary claims it owns for the purposes of complying with the resulting
IETF Standard.
