Dear Sir,

Further to Nortel Networks Statement about IPR claimed in
draft-ietf-pwe3-atm-encap (IETF IPR Disclosure ID#551 dated March 11,
2005), Nortel Networks Limited also has a pending unpublished patent
application that may pertain to at least a portion of the subject matter
of this IETF Internet Draft:

the issued patent contains claims that are necessary for practicing a

non-discriminatory terms to such necessary claims it owns for the
purpose of complying with such resulting IETF Standard based on this
Internet Draft.
