The licence is subject to defensive termination: if a licensee, or any party in privity with a licensee, initiates a patent infringement action against the patent holder, its affiliates, successors in title, the named inventor, or any other licensee in good standing under this grant, the licence terminates as to that licensee as of the date the action is initiated. Pursuant to RFC 8179 Section 5.5(C), this licence commitment is irrevocable and attaches to any patent or patent application currently held or hereafter acquired by Alter Meridian Pty Ltd or its successors in title that is necessary to implement the identified Internet-Draft(s).
