In our meeting (Geneva, 22-30 January 2019), ITU-T SG17 revised draft Recommendation of ITU-T X.ibc-iot Security framework for using identity based cryptography for IoT services over telecom networks which is now being developed in Q6/17, and targets its completion in next SG17 meeting in 27 August – 5 September 2019. The Recommendation includes using TLS 1.3 with identity-based signature algorithms for IoT security in Annex D. To facilitate the protocol with such capabilities, according to the TLS 1.3 specification, the SignatureScheme should be extended with values for such algorithms. Four algorithms have been considered, which are ECCSI specified in RFC 6507, IBS1, IBS2 and SM9_IBS standardized in ISO/IEC 14888-3. It would be very helpful if the values for the following signature schemes are assigned or reserved under your assistance: eccsi_sha256 ibs1_sha256 ibs2_sha256 sm9_ibs_sm3 |
