Abstract: This liaison statement contains information on new Recommendation
ITU-T Y.3552 “Cloud computing – Functional requirements of edge cloud”.

ITU-T Study Group 13 would like to inform you that Recommendation ITU-T Y.3552
“Cloud computing – Functional requirements of edge cloud” was consented at
ITU-T Study Group 13 meeting (Geneva, 15 - 26 July 2024).

Recommendation ITU-T Y.3552 provides the overview of edge cloud, logical
components, capabilities to support lightweight cloud service and functional
requirements of edge cloud through various use cases in cloud computing.

Concerning the future studies on cloud computing as well as edge cloud, we
would appreciate to be kept informed about the relevant work you may have in
this area. ITU-T Study Group 13 is looking forward to cooperating with you.
