Abstract: This liaison statement informs about the consent of new Recommendation ITU-T Y.3401 (ex.Y.IMT2020-CNC-FW) “Coordination of networking and computing in IMT-2020 networks and beyond – Capability framework”. ITU-T Study Group 13 would like to inform ITU-T SG2, ITU-T SG11, ITU-T SG17, IETF CATS, 3GPP SA1 and BBF about the progress of new Recommendation ITU-T Y.3401 (ex. Y.IMT2020-CNC-FW) “Coordination of networking and computing in IMT-2020 networks and beyond – Capability framework”, which has been consented at the ITU-T Study Group 13 plenary meeting on 26 July 2024. Based on the CNC (Coordination of Networking and Computing in IMT-2020 networks and beyond) requirements specified in [ITU-T Y.3400], this Recommendation provides the capability framework for the coordination of utilization, control and management of computing, storage, and networking resources in IMT-2020 networks and beyond. The following aspects are addressed in this Recommendation: – Introduction – CNC capability framework – Interactions among the capabilities of the CNC capability framework ITU-T SG13 looks forward to keeping continued collaboration and exchange with you on the topics of coordination of networking and computing in future networks including IMT-2020 (CNC).
