Abstract: This liaison statement informs about the initiation of a new draft Recommendation Y.cnps: “Service model of attestation-assisted credible network path provisioning based on orchestration in future networks”. ITU-T Study Group 13 would like to inform about the initiation of a new draft Recommendation Y.cnps: “Service model of attestation-assisted credible network path provisioning based on orchestration in future networks” at the ITU-T SG13 meeting (Geneva, 3-14 March 2025). This draft Recommendation aims to study the service model of attestation-assisted credible network path provisioning based on orchestration in future networks, including the service model concept, general characteristics, scenario and use cases as well as high-level technical aspect for supporting the attestation-assisted credible network path provisioning service. In addition, another on-going draft Recommendation Y.CCO-req: “Requirements of orchestration supporting confidential computing for network slices in IMT-2020 networks and beyond” is based on the technique “(remote) attestation” (RFC9334, RFC9683) for confidential computing. ITU-T SG13 would like to know the current treatment of “(remote) attestation” or alternative methods in ITU-T SG17, and the appropriateness of studying this technique in ITU-T SG13. ITU-T SG13 looks forward to getting frank opinions, and keeping continued collaboration and exchanging information with you on this topic.
