Body
Abstract: This LS informs IETF SIDROPS WG about a proposed work item of
X.sgRPKI: Security guidelines on Resource Public Key Infrastructure deployment
in Q11/SG17 at the 8-17 April 2025 ITU-T Study Group 17 plenary meeting.

ITU-T Study Group 17 is pleased to inform you of a proposed new work item of
X.sgRPKI: Security guidelines on Resource Public Key Infrastructure deployment
(SG17-TD34/WP1) at the 8-17 April 2025 ITU-T SG17 meeting.

The Recommendation proposed to analyze security threats and challenges on
Resource Public Key Infrastructure deployment and provide the security
guidelines for Resource Public Key Infrastructure deployment, especially on
RPKI CA operation, Publication Points management and Relying Party deployment.

ITU-T SG17 will maintain close collaboration with IETF SIDROPS WG and formally
proposes a complementary standardization approach that builds upon and extends
the foundational work of the IETF SIDROPS WG.

We look forward to your feedback on this proposed new work item and to working
together to enhance RPKI security.
