Abstract: This SG17 Liaison Statement to IETF IAB and IESG shares the report
and presentations of the AI Security Workshop that SG17 organized on the 11th
of July 2025 during AI for good in Geneva. SG17 seeks for feedback prior to its
2nd plenary meeting 3-11 of December 2025 in Geneva.

SG17 is facing a significant growth of established standardization work items
about AI and Generative AI security and trust topics for the last two years.
Agentic AI is a new topic that emerged and grew since December 2024 to a point
that SG17 management authorized a provisional Steering Committee ahead of
schedule for a thorough preparation on the topic with eminent speakers and a
creative format. The Steering Committee took quality time to produce its report
given the key results that it delivered.

SG17 is pleased to share the report and the presentations about its AI Security
Workshop that occurred on the 11th of July 2025 during AI For Good in Geneva.

This workshop focused on Agentic AI security and trust as well as the Agentic
AI Digital Identity opportunities and challenges and future considerations.

This report directly contributed to the SG17 Correspondence Group on AI
Security Strategy that supports SG17 Restructuring and Modernization efforts.
The output deliverable shows a significant number of decisions and intense
roadmap plan to be approved by SG17 at its 2nd plenary meeting 3-11th of
December.

SG17 is therefore seeking for feedback on the report and on its conclusions and
could provide a new LS/o for action to IETF IAB and IESG with its decisions on
11th of December at its closing plenary meeting.
