The Broadband Forum is pleased the share our latest published work, which may be accessed directly through our online technical library (https://www.broadband-forum.org/technical-library/). MR-529: AI in Broadband Networks This Broadband Forum marketing report outlines the vision and technical trends for integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into broadband networks, shifting traditional connection-oriented models toward intelligent, personalized services. It highlights key AI applications such as Agentic AI as a Service, Quality on Demand, and self-optimizing networks that enhance fault recovery and energy efficiency. To support these capabilities, the report emphasizes the evolution toward autonomous network architectures through native AI, network resource pooling, full visibility, and robust data models. TR-181 Issue 2 Amendment 21: Device Data Model The Device:2 data model defines the full information model that is used for the management and control of devices through both the TR-069 and USP protocols, such as the configuration, management, and control of multiple AP Wi-Fi systems, software management within the residential gateway devices, and bulk data collections of telemetry data. This amendment specifically adds features for certification provisioning, Wi-Fi AFC, and MQTT Support improvement (broker security configuration, multiple MQTT Broker processes). TR-106a17: Data Model Template for CWMP Endpoints and USP Agents The data model template provides the foundational structure for the TR-181 Device:2 data model, ensuring consistent structure and approach to the design of the data demo. The Broadband Forum encourages our partner SDO’s to review these materials, to ensure work their progress references these latest materials and avoids duplication of efforts.
