(1) Loa brought up the topic of IPR and whether there should be area-wide
guidelines. A specific case mentioned is when a new author is added to a WG
document.

Lou shared a case from the teas WG where a late declaration was filed by an
author that was added during the process (after adoption). The Chairs now ask
for IPR declarations at adoption, WGLC, and whenever a new author is added.

John said that the ADs don’t currently have an intent for a specific policy,
but that a template/guidelines would be good to have. This point will be
discussed at an upcoming RTG WG Chairs chat.


(2) Luigi brought up the topic of more/better sharing of information to make
inter-WG collaboration better. In his view, many of the WGs work in a silo
and could benefit from visibility and other opinions.

John mentioned that this is not an easy topic – no ideas were proposed. This
point will also be discussed at an upcoming RTG WG Chairs chat.
