The advantage of using UriTemplates is there are plenty of libraries that will reliably construct URLs and deal with all the necessary syntax and escaping.

@Joris no I don't think so - you just replace the old one. the UUID is for the top level index file so they don't overwrite each other (otherwise you'd need to include the full index in every diff) - but the contact you can just overwrite
